It delivers an impressive 1200mg of curcumin daily, the principal curcuminoid of the popular Indian spice turmeric, which has been used as a component of Indian Ayurvedic medicine since 1900 BC to treat a wide variety of ailments.

However, clinical trials in humans indicate that the systemic bioavailability of orally administered curcumin is relatively low.
